I don't pretend to be an expert but I'm really interested in rocks, crystals and where and how they formed (as long as it doesn't involve too much physics or chemistry!) I've had some good fossil hunting trips to the North Yorkshire coast, Wenlock Edge in Shropshire and even a local trip to Newhey Quarry in Rochdale, where we had calamites coming out of our ears!
